- Certified Lay Minister A Certified Lay Minister (CLM) is a qualified United Methodist layperson called to congregational leadership as part of a ministry team under the supervision a clergyperson, but who often serves the church in many other ways.
- Lay Servant Ministries is the new designation for what was known as Lay Speakers, now broadened to provide training for the many roles of laity in congregations.
- BeADisciple studies, workshops, and courses are conducted in small-groups with a trained facilitator or a certified instructor. Groups begin together, progress through materials, and end together.
